Inequalities in health - social class from socialsubjects
This presentation references the Black Report that aimed to investigate health inequalities in the UK. The Black Report did find disparities between social classes and slide 8 shows the suggested reasons for the differences.
Students could work in groups to suggest potential solutions to these problems before investigating social policies that do exist, at both a local and national level, to address these differences. Also, considering this report was published in 1980, students could consider if things may have changed over the previous decades, and if so, how?
