Campaign for Social Science

Calling all School Teachers of Sociology! An opportunity to have your voice heard!
We are conducting a piece of follow up research about the teaching of Sociology in schools. In 2018, we ran a survey and a focus group to explore sociology teacher experiences and this was published in late 2019 in the journal Sociology.

After discussions with teachers, exam boards and the British Sociological Association, it was clear that there was much more to learn about teacher views of the current specification. Therefore, we are looking for your support.

We have developed a survey to capture the perspective of the teacher: what do you think about the content of the specification? What aspects do you like the most, and where you would welcome change? This is your opportunity to have your say about the A level, and we will feed back the results to all key stakeholders.

We do understand how busy you are, but we would be very grateful if you could spare the time to complete the survey. As a teacher of research methods, you know how important it is to get a good response rate to enhance representativeness and validity!

We very much hope that you will participate.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
